Agneepath Scheme: Under the Agneepath scheme, the process of Agniveer recruitment in the three services will start soon. Given the nationwide protests against the Agneepath scheme, the Defense Ministry had called a high-level meeting on Sunday. In this meeting, the top officers of the three armies also answered all the questions arising regarding the plan.
When will the Agniveer recruitment start in the Air Force?
Air Marshal SK Jha informed us that the registration process for the first batch of Agniveer recruitment will start on June 24, 2022. The Phase-I online examination for this batch will start on July 24. At the same time, the registration for the training of the first batch will start in December and this process will be completed by December 30.
Agniveer recruitment applications in the Navy from 21 November
Vice Admiral Dinesh Tripathi said that the first Naval Agniveer will start arriving for training at INS Chilka in Odisha on 21 November 2022. Both men and women Agniveers will be recruited in the Navy. He said that the Navy already has 30 women officers deployed on various ships. In such a situation, the Navy has also decided to recruit women Agniveers under the Agneepath scheme.
25000 Agniveer will be recruited into the army this year:
Describing the plan of recruitment of Agniveers in the Army, Lieutenant General Bansi Ponnappa said that by the first week of December this year, the first batch of 25,000 Agniveers would be recruited in the Army. After this, by February 2023, by recruiting candidates in the second batch, this number will be completed 40000.
On this occasion, on the questions being raised regarding the Agneepath scheme, the Admissions Secretary, Defense Affairs Department, Lieutenant General Anil Puri presented the side of the army. He told that people are asking what will happen to the Agniveers after 4 years, but every year 17600 personnel are retiring from the army before completing the service, no one is asking them what will they do now?
He told the media after the high-thigh high high-thigh-leveling that at present 46000 Agniveers are being recruited at the beginning of the scheme, and this capacity will increase further. In the next 4-5 years this number will be 50,000-60,000 and then it will be increased from 90 thousand to one lakh.
He said that up to 1.25 lakh Agniveers would be recruited under the Army’s plan. In this way, if 25% is kept as permanent then automatically 46,000 Agniveers will be admitted permanently.
